Painter

The Painter, filmed from the overlooking settlement, portrays the silhouette of a man painting his house by neon light on a long hot summer night. The man continually rebuilds and repaints his house which was previously demolished. He recalls sisyphus who repeats the same act for eternity and in so doing I comment on the complex condition of refugees. The barking dogs in the background have been separated by the building of the Partition Wall in the valley, and howl out to each other, speaking to the divisions created by the Wall.
